If you are a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, or neighbor providing regularly scheduled home-based care—including part and full time care during the day, before and after school, and/or nights and weekends—you are doing essential work for our children, families, and the future of Forsyth County. We are here to provide information, resources, and community connections that support you as you help our children thrive.
The FFNCCA is uniting caregivers, families, and leaders to advocate for this critical workforce and secure equitable support by advocating for:

Modernize legislation to remove barriers that prevent trusted caregivers from being recognized and supported.

Sponsor and secure state funding to provide resources and training directly to home-based providers.

Champion federal and state funding that allows child care vouchers to follow the family’s choice of care.
We recognize that this child care option is an essential child care infrastructure option trusted by families, critical to our workforce, and vital to our economy.
By removing barriers and providing equitable resources, we are working to ensure that family choice and community reality are at the heart of our child care ecosystem. Together, we are powering the workforce of today and building the strong starts our children need to lead the economy of tomorrow.
